Banco2 Virtual Store

Lead Product Designer — UX/UI & Service Design

Banco2's affiliated rural farming families compensated for protecting Colombia's natural ecosystems, had no channel to commercialize their handcrafted products. The absence of a structured logistics model, the lack of digital presence for producers, and the need to coherently integrate product commerce with environmental compensation created a complex, multi-stakeholder design challenge.

I designed the full service strategy and end-to-end commercialization system, including product selection, collection logistics, storage, distribution, and online and offline sales channels. I developed the service blueprint mapping all actors families, Banco2, buyers, and affiliated companies and defined a four-level producer categorization framework to guide capacity building and product quality standards. I then designed and structured the Virtual Store platform, aligning the commerce experience with Banco2's existing carbon footprint tools.

Over 120 rural families joined the initiative, securing a new and sustainable income stream alongside carbon offset compensation.

Families experienced an approximate 20% increase in total income compared to carbon bonuses alone.

Established a scalable pilot model with structured replication pathways for expansion across additional departments and family groups.

Strengthened the buyer-producer relationship through transparent storytelling, direct compensation mechanisms, and community visibility tools.
